My Mum's Sephardic Gefilte Fish Recipe
- One kilo of ground carp
- 3 onions, peeled grated
- 2 eggs
- 1 ½ tablespoons salt
- 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 3/4 of a cup of ground almonds
- FOR THE STOCK
- 1 teaspoonsalt (to taste)
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 large carrots cut into 1/4 inch discs
- 3-4 teeths of garlic
- 2 large onion, cut into fourths
- reserved fish bones
- Pot of water
Method of Preparation
Put the ingredients of the stock in a pot and bring to a boil and simmer
Mix all the ingredients together
Scoop the ingredients into flattened balls and place into pot
