The 12 signs of the zodiac correlate to the 12 Hebrew months and some say to the 12 tribes. The Jewish year is based on the lunar year and the Jewish perspective is that the signs of the zodiac were positioned at the time of Creation. The Zodiac symbols appear quite often in Jewish illustrations and mosaics, even in synagogues. While there are mixed views on Astrology in Judaism. The illustrations here are taken from strictly Jewish sources. This delightful handmade cotton tea towel has been hand made in Jerusalem and measures 70x50 cm.
