Apron - Hamsa

The Hamsa (the number five in Arabic) originated in Arab culture and Islam. The Jews who lived in Arab lands took on the symbol, which is meant to protect against the "Evil Eye". In our design, we have the Hamsa pattern framed with wishes of good fortune - love, health, prosperity, wealthy, fertility, and the like. Today the Hamsa is commonly used in artwork in many diverse cultures.
So good luck and good fortune to you! Which is what the Hamsa means today.
